Introduction to the Office of Career Services

The Office of Career Services is here to help you get great jobs and internships!

MPP students can use our SanfordCareerLink system to make advising appointments, view job and internship listings, RSVP for events, find forms for Professional Development Funds and Internship Approval and download our handouts and presentations on professional skills and policy careers. Register for an account and we’ll approve you right away!

We encourage you to visit with an advisor in the Office of Career Services regularly. The more we know about you, the more suggestions and connections we can provide. We can help you with general career planning, networking advice, direction for your search, and resume and cover letter review. Sign up for an appointment on SanfordCareerLink.

You can visit us in Room 257 Sanford where you can use our fax machine for applications, get long distance phone cards to use for professional calls, and find out more about ordering business cards. You can also get printed copies of our handouts and see printed materials from employers.

Some MPP students may want to take advantage of the job and internship listings in the main Duke Career Center by signing up for Duke eRecruiting. Duke eRecruiting might be of interest to students who have limited work experience or want to explore traditional business positions, as well as international students.

The more you visit our office and take advantage of our resources, the more productive your career search will be!
